What is a One Pager for startup investment?

As its name suggests, it is a document in which you must show the most relevant information of your startup summarized on one page.

A startup’s One Pager should have a visual form that attracts attention and shows the information in a clear way.

Remember that a One Pager is the business card of your Saas to the investor.

Team

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN YOUR TEAM ?

It is important to detail who makes up the project, as this gives them information on how you got to this point. Having a team of professionals with a relevant business chronology will help to capture the interest of investors. Remember that they are looking for skilled teams, so it is essential to convey that there is no better team to execute the project.

You will need to provide the following information:

  • Number of people who are directly part of the project including the CEO, being able to specify the generic profile.
  • Names and Surnames.
  • You can add investors or mentors who are currently in the business.

Cap Table

WHAT PERCENTAGE OF CONTROL DO THE FOUNDING PARTNERS HAVE?

The Cap Table consists of expressing the distribution of a company’s shares. It is important that it is well structured.

One of the things an investor will look for after assessing that the project has potential and that its general aspects are well aligned, is that the founding team has enough equity to not dilute itself too much in future rounds.

Mainly the information an investor is interested in is:

  • Percentage of equity held by the founding team.
  • Percentage of equity held by investors.
  • Percentage of ESOP to be allocated.
